Rosalie Hans

Rosalie Hans (1987) works as provenance researcher at the NMVW. 


In 2018, Rosalie finished her PhD at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK on current museum developments in Kenya and Uganda. As a museologist, her research interests range from identity-making in museums to the influence of development discourse on heritage management in Africa, which was the subject of the post-doc she completed in 2018/2019 at the University of Nottingham. Between finishing her MA degree in Museum Studies in London in 2009 and starting her doctoral research in 2014, Rosalie worked at the Museu Nacional de Arte in Maputo, Mozambique and the Sierra Leone National Museum in Freetown as well as at the British Museum Africa Programme and as Assistant Curator at the Horniman Museum.
