POSTPONED | OtherWise. Conflicting truths in times of Climate Crisis and Neoliberalism

ANTHROPOLOGY DAY 2020 | 9:00 - 18:00

On Friday May 15, the Dutch Anthropological Association (ABv) organizes its yearly “Dag van de Antropologie/Anthropology Day”. This year’s theme is ‘OtherWise. Conflicting truths in times of Climate Crisis and Neoliberalism’. Our aim is to reflect on how various people, from climate change deniers to climate activists, and from eco-communities to indigenous movements, engage with current political ecology. And how might anthropological engagements with this world look like, both academic and beyond?

MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW

We organize this event together with the Dutch Anthropological Association. We have also invited non-academic partners like the Plastic Soup Foundation (confirmed) and the Social Impact Hub.

Anthropology Day starts at 9 am and ends at 6 pm.  After the plenary opening with a keynote speech, different rooms will host panel discussions and workshops. Some will be organized in English and some in Dutch.
